Easy Delicious Cobbler

Easy Delicious Cobbler

I love this recipe! It is soo yummy, all the ooey gooey-ness of the cakey part of the cobbler plus the edges get a tad crunchy.  All that mixed with apples makes it a wonderful comforting dessert. Not to mention easy to put together. I know cobbler is usually a summer dessert but this is perfect for the middle of winter especially when you eat it warm out of the oven with a small scoop of ice cream. It is perfect winter comfort!

The melted butter crisps the edges.

The hardest part of the whole recipe is remembering not to stir the batter into the butter. Sounds like a tongue twister .

Add a can of apple pie filling on top and don’t stir it into the batter. (Or any can of fruit or fruit pie filling to your liking but don’t drain it.) I’ve made it with just canned peaches and cherry pie filling as well as the apple.

Scoop on some ice cream and you have the perfect dessert.

Enjoy!

Thank you to Mary, my late Grandpa Jack’s wife, for giving my mom and I this recipe many years ago.
