Crystals And Candlesticks

When I go to Goodwill, I am always on the look out for things to makeover for Halloween. Candlesticks are always on my list. A few weeks ago I picked up a couple of gold candlesticks to redo.

They were fine after I cleaned them up, but I just wasn’t feeling the gold. If they had been silver I might have left them alone.Crystals and Candlesticks

I spray painted them black because I need a few more candlesticks to use for my witch’s table.

I have been redoing a few candlesticks lately.

They needed a little something extra. I went to my favorite store in the mall, Black Market Minerals. I picked up two quartz amethyst points that were fixed to key chains. It cost a bit more than buying them without anything attached, but I didn’t want the hassle of trying to add an eye hook to the crystals. On the way home I stopped at a craft store and also bought a black chain and black jump rings.

I cut two, three inch pieces of chain to use and removed the key chain from the crystals. Using my round nose pliers, I opened one of the jump rings. I threaded one chain through the opening in the candlestick, then put both ends of the chain and one of the crystals onto the jump ring. The hardest part was not having enough hands to close the jump ring but I got it after a few tries.

These will be going on my witch’s table, but I love them so much, I am moving stuff around to accommodate them all year long.
