One of the major selling points to the house we have is this beautiful dining room with a huge bay window. I can’t imagine this house not having this room but it was only added on about 10 years ago. It is my favorite spot in the house! I am eventually going to make cushions to sit in the seating area of the window but for now, I am loving decorating it.
I don’t want to put curtains up to obscure the view. Looking out into the patch of woods behind us is lovely while having dinner or sipping on my morning coffee. But it is winter now and the woods are bare, plus it is holiday time and those windows need some decorating.
I bought three small wreaths and a nice big roll of ribbon at one of the craft stores.
I fluffed up each wreath and then cut the ribbon to hang them each in a separate window. Wiring the ribbon together at the top, I made a loop for easier hanging.
My window has a shelf above it and the previous owners had screwed cup hooks into the bottom of it. Less work for me, thank you!
Once the wreaths were hung, I made bows from the same ribbon to hang with them.
Just as with the ribbon on the wreath, I also made a loop on the back of the bow to hang it on the cup hook.
I love easy and quick decorating for the holidays without spending a fortune.
I will be linking up with these parties.
