Welcome to Raven would!

I am a stay at home mom and have been for years. I have four beautiful daughters (of course I am biased) who range in age from 11 to 22.

As a family, we are ruled by one unruly chihuahua, Cholula, that took over our lives five years ago when we got her, and Bob, our rescue mix. He’s just a good old boy from West Virginia, who overnight has turned into an old man.

I have been crafting since I was in high school. My love of DIY and crafts came from my first job at House of Fabrics. (I believe they are defunct now.) Many of my paychecks were spent in the same store I worked in. I have tried my hand at various crafts with both success and failure. Some of my favorite crafts I have dabbled in are crochet, knitting, soap making, sewing, paper crafts, and painting.

By now you’ve probably asked yourself why the name Raven would.  I love ravens! Young ravens love shiny objects and are interested in new things. I am constantly interested in new things and ideas and I love to bring that into decorating my home with unique things. 

A few years ago I went back to school and got a degree in film production. Being in school I realized how much I love to write and that is why I have started this blog. Back in 2008, I started a craft blog on blogger but at the time with two small children, I couldn’t give it the time I wanted to. Now I can devote myself to Ravenwould and my crafts.
